Plas Newydd

A full day excursion on the Isle of Anglesey would include stopping at the famous village ‘Llanfairpwllgwyngyllgogerychwyrndrobwylllantysiliogogogoch’ for having the longest name in Europe.

Here passengers can visit Plas Newydd, which is the home of the Marquess of Anglesey, built in the 18th century by renowned architect James Wyatt.  This elegant house has a fantastic range of activities on offer to suit all tastes and preferences.

Stopping at the James Pringle Weavers for a unique shopping experience is a must for passengers when visiting this historic town. Anything from clothing, homeware and Welsh foods are available to purchase here.

Driving alongside the spectacular Thomas Telford's Suspension Bridge is on the agenda when going towards the beautiful town of Beaumaris to spend the afternoon.

Here you can visit the courthouse which is one of Anglesey’s most fascinating buildings and the gaol which is a site of historical significance presenting cruelty of Victorian law and order.

Who can forget the great Beaumaris Castle, regarded by many as the finest of all the great Edwardian castles in Wales. Beaumaris has a variety of dining areas and fascinating museums to visit.

The day comes to an end by visiting Penmon where you can enjoy the panoramic views of Puffin Island, Penmon Lighthouse and the Snowdonia Mountain Range.
