Walks around Amlwch and Llaneilian

The striking contrast between the rugged cliffs of Anglesey’s north-east coastline and the idyllic rural setting that frames it, gives this part of the island a particularly special appeal.

Set in the heart of a designated Area of Outstanding National Beauty, this is something of a walker’s treasure trove - a real gem just waiting to be discovered.

The attached booklet outlines six interesting and varied circular walks around the Amlwch and Llaneilian areas. Four of these meander along different parts of the spectacular coastline, whilst walks 4 and 5 offer the opportunity to view the unusual landscape of Parys Mountain, taking in the surrounding countryside views. Choose from a gentle stroll of just over 5km (3 miles) to longer hikes stretching up to 11.2 km (7 miles).
